You Technologies Group (www.you.co) is building a digital banking platform of the future. We are a well-funded consumer technology venture that has established regional partnerships across Asia. The first product on our journey to become a fully digital banking platform will be a multi-currency travel card with an innovative e-wallet application. We want our customers to enjoy a borderless and uninterrupted travel experience.

 

We are an international team of seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, and across Southeast Asia. Being one of the first in the region, we are partnering with trusted consumer brands to launch our product in the coming months.

The ideal candidate for this Product Lead / Senior Product Manager position is someone who exhibits strong passion for managing the product development among our product team, engineering team, and business team, as well as the ability to prioritize and ensure timely delivery of the product and its features.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Scrummaster and product manager to manage engineering and product team for feature and product delivery

  • Measure and manage key project performance metrics. Anticipate key risk areas and constantly have clear understanding of critical path

  • Create documentation and presentation materials for internal communications and external partnership negotiations. Be prepared to plan and participate in such negotiations

  • Collect necessary data to inform product direction, whether in the form of personal interviews, competitor studies, consumer behavior or other sources

  • Study deeply into available 3rd party technologies / APIs in order to formulate product development strategy and product architecture

  • Create user stories, wireframes, mockups, design documents, prototypes to deliver innovative product features and product roadmap

  • Monitor product landscape in the rapidly changing ecosystem and feed learnings back into product development process.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years proven track record in developing and delivering highly polished and feature rich mobile applications (please show us your product)

  • Strong Scrum/Agile project management experience is required

  • A computer science degree or equivalent and hands-on software engineering experience in mobile applications is an advantage

  • Understanding of card payment or card processor industry is highly desirable

  • Working knowledge of support technologies for mobile and financial service development (Linux, SOA, web-based services, SQL, iOS/Android platform, etc)

  • Stellar design instincts and product taste

  • Your core tool kits: Scrum/Agile methodologies, wireframing skills, coding skills, design thinking methods, insightful storytelling skills

  • A true passion for entrepreneurship and changing the status quo. A never-ending desire to grow and learn. A deep empathy for people affected by your product.
