To ensure upstream interaction and guidance are provided to Production, PD, Tech and Vendor/Factory Teams to support the evolution of the product from design concept to commercial viability. This includes helping to identify and support critical production milestones that require special attention and procedures to achieve all aesthetic, performance, compliance and brand standards.

 Position Objective

• Coordinating agent among production, merchandising, technician, operations, factory and QA partners.
• Establish a close working relationship with product production team to ensure brand right quality.
• Work closely with Field QA to ensure clear flow of information and product understanding
• Manage communication flow between offshore QA Auditors and Hong Kong production teams to improve speed of decision making.
• Ensure finished products are in compliance with all design specifications and meet all required quality standards.
• Follow up and distribute updated information / changes to the both onshore and offshore teams.
• Report on factory Quality performance, carryout risk analysis of supply vendors and formulate corrective action plans where required.
• Support and advise Production team in new factory evaluations.
• Support Factory to follow proper production process controls
• Technical specialist for outerwear and tailoring

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation and administration of QA function for their product area.
• Observe, evaluate and help correct Factory internal Process controls in partnership with Director of Operations, Regional FQA Supervisors and FQAs
• Work with merchandisers, vendors, suppliers and manufacturers during seasonal cycles to anticipate, prevent and resolve quality problems.
• Liaise with offshore QA’s /Production on quality issues, advise on commercial standards
• Liaise with production team on impact of failed audits, review and follow up on quality issues
• Attend seasonal line review/PP meetings in Hong Kong, off-shore if possible
• Filter and communicate key information to regional QA inspectors.
• Communicate quality requirements, inspection policies and procedures to new factories to ensure that production will meet company’s requirement.
• Arrange evaluation on potential vendors in the areas of compliance
• Assist merchandising team in sourcing new vendor/factories.
• Field visits and meetings with vendors/factories on quality issues
• Provide comments and direction on quality issues to offshore  QA’s and VCA’s
• Collect relevant product technical information to support updates to product manual
• Follow up with factories on any DC inspection quality callouts
• Assist VCP Coordinator in selection and training of VCA’s
• Counterfeit sample verification
• Arrange QA to supervise disposal of seconds

Qualification & Working Experience

• Diploma holder in relevant field, IE preferrable
• 10-12 years’ relevant working experience
• Experience in apparel production and special projects on efficiency, SWAT support
• Excellent communication and interpersonally skill and able to build relationship with multiple internal and external parties
• Strong ability to analyze issues and solve problems
• Good command of English language (written and spoken), as well as Chinese
