Job Responsibilities

• Yarn sourcing – familiar with mills and source correct sweater yarn at right price for each brand
• Sample development – translate New York development request to factory, yarn arrangement and work with factory for sample follow up, provide support in solving problems with mills and factories to avoid late shipments
• Market research & development – great fashion sense for develop new item for sweater and theme board presentation, responsible for keeping abreast of market intelligence, fashion trends, new resources and opportunities
• Request, receive and validate Yarn Mill Card from suppliers
• Input yarn details into appropriate Ralph Lauren system, maintain and updated system data, charts, including specification lead time and yarn pricing
• Responsible for color lab dip arrangement, request track and receive lab dips, strike offs and hand looms
• Attend and participate in all necessary Design meetings and present sweater yarn swatch
• Setup library of yarn and material

Qualification & Working Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sweater yarn sourcing
• Diploma holder or above in Fashion/Textile technology or related disciplines is preferable
• Sound technical knowledge in designated sweater / yarn
• Experience in Buying office is highly preferred
• Able to work independently with good negotiation and organizing skills
• Self-motivated, independent, good communication & interpersonal skills
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office
