Responsibilities:

• Independently handle sample checking, as well as problem solving
• Communicate with suppliers and factories on problem solving
• Review paper patterns with suppliers/factories.
• Coordinate with Merchandising teams and factories to ensure on-time delivery and achieve pre-determined quality standard of samples
• Provide solutions on technical issues and follow up
• Communicate with colleagues in Germany on technical matters
• Fitting meetings with customers and suppliers
• Meet target and deadline of internal Time & Action plan.
• Input and maintain record of sample checks in internal tracking system for statistical purposes

Requirements:

• Tertiary graduate or above with minimum 8 years’ experience handling garment sample checking
• Good knowledge and understanding of medium to high end ladies’ garments for European Market in regards to fitting and workmanship. Experience with German market will be an advantage
• Good judgment of fitting on live models and dummies
• Detail minded with good analytical sense and problem-solving skills, well-organized and eager to learn
• Good team worker
• Willing to travel to China (South China & Shanghai region) occasionally for inspections and factory evaluations
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point, as well as technical sketching on computer
• Graduate of Technical Institute on pattern making and good knowledge of garment construction is a must
• Knowledge of garment related lab testing is an advantage
• Self-motivated, work independently and able to work under pressure
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.       Knowledge of Putonghua will be an advantage
• Good communication skills and able to work with different levels of people and different nationalities
• Immediate available is preferable
