We’re looking for an experienced QC Manager (Hardgoods) to join Target. This candidate is responsible to lead a team of Quality Inspectors to design and implement consistent inspection processes, so that “fit-for-purpose” products are delivered on time.

Job Responsibilities:

• Clarify and resolve differences or deviations during inspections
• Collaborate with technical team to resolve critical and major inspection failures
• Analyse failed final inspection reports by exception and decide if shipment can be released
• Set guidelines for scheduling inspections, review published schedule and recommend changes
• Provide clear and up-to-date inspection checkpoints and guidelines to both internal and external QC inspectors
• Partner with 3rd party inspection companies to run governor inspections / witness inspections
• Implement the Self-Inspection Programme by training factories and suppliers on TAS requirements and certifying them to do self-inspections
• Ensure compliance of Target anti-bribery policy by the QC inspector
• Periodically reviews inspection systems and procedures for suitability and effectiveness and recommend changes
• Maximize the efficiency of QC process and workflows of inspection
• Manage and execute assigned quality projects within agreed timelines
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with key suppliers
• Own the induction, coaching and development to create a high performing team with clear measures, development plans and support mechanisms to establish succession plans and talent pipelines

 Job Requirements:

• Degree or above in related disciplines.
• 10 years’ solid experience in related field with at least 3 years in managerial role
• Knowledge and experience of technical, production, quality management and product safety functions in hardgoods
• Working knowledge in quality management, defect prevention and consumer satisfaction
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
• Proficient in IT applications especially in the use of MS-Office
