Our client is a top tier Chinese based commercial banking corporation in Hong Kong. They are currently compliance expert to lead their legal and compliance team.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on AML to the business and enhance due diligence and transaction due diligence approval process
• Handle requests from HKMA, SFC and other relevant regulatory authorities
• Review the Compliance controls and identify areas for improvement in operation
• Advise the senior management and relevant business units on compliance related issues on regional basis
• Provide compliance training to relevant staff in bank
• Keep updated to regulatory changes to ensure proactive communication with business and implement appropriate group policy and framework to manage the changes.
• Liaise with regulators (e.g. HKMA, JFIU) on any issues related to money laundering
• Oversee and formulate the framework of AML investigation, checking applicable transaction monitoring procedures and systems and compliance review
• Provide advisory on AML to the business and enhance due diligence and transaction due diligence approval process
• Promote and promulgate good AML awareness and culture among staff

Requirements:

• Degree in Business / Finance / Accounting/ Business/ Law or other related disciplines
• 8-12 years of experience in AML in banks
• Deep knowledge on Treasury products, Investment and Private Wealth Management
• Familiar with HKMA AML Guideline
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Good team player and team leader with excellent interpersonal skills
