Job Description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the supply chain and operational excellence roadmap in Asia. The role is to help and coordinate affiliates in Asia Region with reporting requirements, implement regional and HQ projects and identify areas to improve capability of people and process.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate quarterly, half yearly and Annual reporting requirements for supply Chain KPI, Cost to Serve and Cash budget for Asia region. Identify root cause areas for weak areas and draw up corrective plans in consultation with affiliates
  • Act as the lead coordinator for Asia for CONNECT (In house supply chain tool) to resolve issues or implement enhancements as rolled out by HQ
  • Assist and help affiliates in understanding of key supply chain issues and resolve with the help of HQ and Brand Companies
  • Help and assist Supply Chain Director to roll out HQ /Regional Projects in areas of operational excellence
  • High degree of interaction with HQ and regional OPEX and finance teams
  • Ad hoc projects or assignments as may be required

 

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

  • Degree holder in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or related discipline
  • At least 5-6 years’ experience in Supply chain, preferably in different areas like supply planning, demand planning, vendor/inventory/warehouse management, transportation including Sea
  • A good team player with good working standards and the ability to motivate and influence others
  • Creative, detail-minded, well-organized with good analytical skills (including Supply Chain Analytics)
  • Good interpersonal skills and capable in communication with different levels
  • Ability to handle the key projects currently under implementation-
    • S&OP deployment, Vendor management and tendering and Hub

  • Excellent relationship management, good negotiation, planning and forecasting skills
  • Good general business sense, strong in numbers, higher than average Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, any other language will be an advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
