Job Description

Reporting to Deputy Executive Director and in close collaboration with Orbis's head office in New York, the incumbent will supervise a small team and will act as the primary liaison between IT and the operational departments within the office.  S/he functions in a trusted advisor role and provides subject matter expertise to the departments in which it serves through analysis and the development of business and functional requirements for initiatives of all sizes.  S/he also leads and participates on project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of IT project initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for the systems development life cycle (SDLC) of new systems and enhancement of existing systems to support business goals.
  • Lead and guide workgroups through the evaluation of current state processes. Perform analysis to define opportunities to create improved and streamlined system workflows. 
  • Provide communications and presentations on project plans, processes flowcharts, and system designs and diagrams.
  • In close collaboration with Orbis's head office in New York, assist in the management and project initiatives that involves the IT infrastructure, cyber-security and enterprise systems. 
  • Develop and implement plans and measures to address the protection of sensitive information against anticipated threats and unauthorized access to donor information and documentation, and ensure compliance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. 
  • Source and manage IT vendor relationships.
  • Manage the office’s in-house help desk service.
  • Provide IT support to other Orbis offices as needed, e.g. Macau, Singapore, etc.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree majoring in information technology, management information systems, or relevant discipline
  • Proven track record in successfully identifying, leading and implementing information systems and technologies to help achieving company objectives more effectively and efficiently
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in system development and support, IT project management, vendor management, with no less than 5 years at managerial level
  • Working experiences with databases such as MSSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
  • Sound working knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV 
  • Experience in server administration and networking would be an advantage
  • Experience in digital marketing would be an advantage

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Creative with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and good business sense
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to build relationship with others
