Responsibilities:

• Assist in Managing the product development process for new lines and the improvement process for existing products
• Leads the food/beverage ingredients optimization / reformulation work to support successful execution of business initiatives and requirements.
• Conducts and oversee experiments, attending pilot runs, commercial manufacturing production runs in specified areas to achieve project objectives.
• Gathers, analyzes product and technology trend information and conducts ideation sessions.
• Develops product and process specification and conducting plant testing for selected prototypes, hence ensures that products and processes have met quality assurance, safety and risk assessment requirements.
• Collaborates closely with other cross-functional teams – Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations, etc.
• Liaise with internal and external parties relating to product research and development.
• Be responsible for costing analysis and related R&D reports Assist in other ad-hoc projects as assigned
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma holder in Traditional Chinese Medicine / Chinese Herb / Food Science / Food Technology or related background
• At least 5 years relevant working experience of product development in F&B industry
• Knowledge in Hong Kong food legislation and requirements
• Knowledge in ISO9001
• Creative, self-motivated and able to develop new ideas / approaches
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office & Chinese word processing
• Good command of spoken and written in English and Chinese
