You will be involved in the planning and execution of pharmaceutical development programs for innovative products for the company, and working with a team of professionals to develop platform technology for the company. You will also acquire an understanding of the scientific knowledge and technical know-how required for pharmaceutical advanced formulation technology. You will build up strength in the competitive environment of local and global pharmaceutical industries.

Job Requirements:

• PhD or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Material Science, Pharmacy or a related science and engineering field.
• Good understanding of the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine and TCM micronization techniques.
• Experiences in micronization techniques of materials. Experiences in micronization of TCM are highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of food chemistry and chemical components of food and TCM ingredients.
• Experiences with HPLC, GC and other common analytical instruments.
• Must be a good team player, able to communicate and co-operate with team members and possess multiple project management skills.
• Open mindset, can-do attitude. Knowledge of project management is a plus.

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Cantonese is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Participate in an innovative project on TCM modernization and development of an advanced delivery method. Duties include, but are not limited to, designing of formulations, handling various pharmaceutical machineries, procurement of necessary tools, performing analytical studies etc.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during formulation process. Keep detailed formulation record and maintain a comprehensive formulation database.
• Responsible for tasting and taste adjustment of developed formulae.
• Perform analytical studies of the formulations, such as dissolution studies and HPLC analysis of active marker components.
• Involve in formulation improvement of other company’s products, mainly in food and beverages.
• Support R&D activities in other dosage forms.
