Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Administration Secretary in arranging community participation of the Board and the Chairman to fulfill public expectation on the Board and enhance exposure of the Group;
• establish and maintain effective working relationships with government bureaux and external organizations through arranging courtesy calls or other activities to expand the Board’s network for facilitating service development and increasing the Board’s social influence;
• coordinate the Group’s ceremonial functions initiated by the Administration Division and other Divisions/Branches to enhance the effect of service promotion and exposure of the Board;
• organize networking activities of the Board to the Mainland and overseas for sharing of the Group’s charitable missions and work experiences;
• arrange social, celebration and condolence activities for past Board Members and their families and maintain good relations with them to draw their support for the Group’s work and fund-raising initiatives;
• organize social functions and pleasure trips of current Board Members for relations building to facilitate their governance and succession;
• supervise subordinate staff to achieve the annual work plan, maintain the smooth operation of the general services of the Headquarters and to participate actively in all networking function; and
• oversee the provision of various general services rendered to different Divisions/ Branches for the effective operation of the Administration Headquarters.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A recognized degree in any discipline or equivalent;
• at least 6 years, preferably 8 years, post-qualification experience in administration, public relations, or equivalent;
• excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills;
• pleasant, out-going personality, be sociable and helpful, sensitive to others’ needs; and
• proficiency in English and Chinese.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
