Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Collect, analyze and evaluate research information using a variety of media, namely, government databases, (listed) company public disclosures, Internet, and proprietary databases of major newspapers and journals
• Perform qualitative background research on the requested companies / individuals and their related associates in accordance to relevant SOPs
• Identify relevant risks, discrepancies and any information of the clients’ interest
• Accurately summarize the collected data and present them in a English report applying in-house style and assist in its refinement
• Perform peer review of reports produced by colleagues to ensure compliance with SOP and with high level of quality
• Perform due diligence reviews for various purposes such as AML / KYC compliance and third party management
• Embrace continuous changes and challenges; handle ad hoc projects and assignments, often to tight deadlines

Analyst who demonstrates solid knowledge in due diligence and leadership ability will also be considered as a Team Leader. Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Understand, implement, and reinforce the execution of team and business goals as outlined by a manager
• Review reports produced by the team in order to maintain a consistent high level of quality
• Ensure that team members are kept well-informed of expectations and team goals, especially as they pertain to business objectives
• Consistently provide constructive feedback to team members
• Enforce a high level of accountability among team members
• Assist to coach and provide guidance to new / less experienced staff (junior analysts); and actively pursue ways to enhance their development
• Produce and support an environment of camaraderie and co-operation to ensure a high level of teamwork
• Work with other Team Leaders and Managers as a team in ad hoc projects and assignments, e.g. SOP refinement, new client onboarding and internal performance review

Qualifications:

The ideal applicant will

• Possess at least 1 year work experience in relevant fields, e.g. AML, KYC compliance, qualitative research and media
• Good understanding of due diligence, KYC / AML requirements, or third party screening will be advantageous
• Possess strong analytical and presentation skills with strong knowledge in conducting research in open sources and databases (i.e. Internet, government databases, and media databases)
• Proficient in Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified Chinese) and English, and able to consolidate Chinese and English sources into English summary
• Strong attention to detail with ability to produce accurate and quality work under tight deadlines and minimal supervision
• Possess excellent in interpreting source information and able to present them in a logical and concise manner
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Be well organised and able to work accurately and effectively under pressure
• Be a good member working in a team
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Be a quick learner who can spot new opportunities with demonstrated initiative, diligence, and attention to detail
• Be a post-secondary degree holder
• Be a holder of HK ID or valid visa with permission to work in Hong Kong
