Reporting relationship
The Educational Outreach Advisor reports directly to the Assessment Manager, APC INTO North America.
Job overview
To drive the efforts in missing document collection as well as validate fraudulent documents or cases raised by the University Partner. This role will deliver outstanding levels of service to our JV’s, global customers, applicants, APC and recruitment teams. Work effectively with the APC in both HK and San Diego, to ensure adherence to the SLA’s for evaluation are met consistently.
Key accountabilities and duties
This is a new role in a growing, dynamic organization. Accountabilities of the position may change and develop over time.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
- Effectively work with institutions, universities and other entities in China to help verify academic documents for authenticity.
- Build, develop, and maintain relationships with admissions offices and officials within the greater China region.
- Robust knowledge of mainland China’s educational/academic system.
- Assist the Application Processing Center to assess the completeness of a credential regarding transcript, diploma, translation and other academic documents, as needed.
- Maintains procedural knowledge working closely with many departments of INTO NA.
- Outstanding attention to detail and problem-solving skills needed to help our university and educational counselor partners maintain high standards of integrity and customer service.
- Notifies the Assessment Manager of any delays, issues promptly and effectively.
- Must be able to communicate changes and nuances of the educational system inclusive of delivery of reporting on a timely basis.
- Overall knowledge of educational systems down to the province level inclusive of region based exams.
- Develop and maintain quality customer service for all INTO customers and clients.
- Support Center based admissions/APC colleagues to work flexibly across a range of teams according to variations in demand.
- Provide reporting and manage a database of both missing documents and fraudulent cases.
- Missing Documents and Application Trends with be a focus.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with the partner universities, peers and colleagues at our INTO Centers, Recruitment and Marketing team.
- Cross train in the HK APC and to maximize efficiency in the role.
