Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the site team leader. Lead a team of 6-9 Resident Site Staffs in a large scale commercial development complex with podiums and office towers; with construction completion targeted in 2022
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the site team
  • Monitor the site team operation and performance
  • Liaise with the clients, contractors, consultant, and Jianli (local supervising engineer)
  • Regular review the contractor’s quality of work and draw the attention of the client as necessary
  • Review contractor’s submission
  • Ensure all site team members are fairly and effectively represented on site

Requirement:

  • Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Corporate membership of relevant professional institution(s) in Geotechnical, Civil or Structural discipline
  • At least 5 years of post chartered experience for the position of Senior Resident Engineer
  • At least 2 years of post chartered experience for the position of Resident Engineer
  • Site Supervision experience in China is an advantage
  • Experience in tall building and steel structure construction is an advantage
  • Good leadership and mentoring skills
  • Good command of Putonghua and English is preferred

 

The above positions based in Shanghai will be on contract basis to work at the site of a commercial development complex with podiums and office towers. The initial contract duration is for approximately 12 months which may be lengthened or shortened subject to project development. We shall strongly consider renewal and extension of the contract subject to performance. Standard working hours will be 6 days per week. Attractive remuneration package with gratuity will be offered to the successful candidates.
