Job Description

Duties: The appointee will assist in managing the day-to-day operation of the Institute and its Secretariat. The duties include: managing alumni affairs, coordinating events and administrative related matters for the Institute and its centers, affiliated and joint ventures in the Mainland, liaising with internal and external parties, establishing, implementing and reviewing administrative systems such as regulations and procedures, supporting the Institute registry and secretariat functions in accordance with the School policy including but not limited to registration, maintaining of student records, course evaluation and examination, lifelong learner cards, providing secretarial service to committees and Board of Directors for Mainland subsidiaries, assisting the School Secretary and Registrar in executing School-wide matters that relevant to the Institute and performing any other duties as assigned by the Head and the College Affairs Secretary.

 

Requirements: Candidates should have a recognized degree (preferably a Master degree) with 8 years relevant experience preferably in the higher education and/or continuing education sector. A team player with good written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and supervisory skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to attend to details and work independently with strong computer proficiency.

 

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Executive Officer (College Affairs).

 

Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, annual leave and the use of sports and library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
