Key responsibilities:

1. Be responsible for planning annual cooperation projects with universities, taking lead of projects   overview, schedule planning, resources allocation, implementation and overall budget. Ensure they are all aligned with the company’s business development direction and goals;
 
2. Expand the scope and depth of cooperation with teachers and professors who are relevant to the company’s business and actively follow the nationwide distribution of the professionals in both HK and Mainland China. Able to take the PM role in the Research and Development projects and ensure smooth progress and effective cooperation among all stake-holders, includes but not only limited to day-to-day management, periodic follow-up, evaluation and feedback of results etc.
 
3. Relationship building and maintenance, be responsible for establishing close contact with associations, academies, committees and alliances in academia. Actively participate in academic exchanges and cooperation by participating in influential seminars and competitions, enhance and maintain company's reputation in both local and overseas’ academia.
 
4. Drive and establish close contact and cooperation with scientific research institutes of government departments (i.e. Innovation and Technology Bureau), keep up with the government's latest policy of collaborative innovation and development of production, learning and research, and boldly try unique cooperation approaches with academic research teams while promoting enterprises’ innovation;
 
5. Initiate and plan regular campus visit activities, demonstrate company's overall initiatives and project cases at the academic cooperation level for university teachers and students, continuously expand the campus awareness of the company for a series of projects such as scientific research cooperation as well as talent development;
 
6. Gather intelligence on competitive landscape on campus and develop strategies to position Sensetime as the employer of choice for the top graduates. attract emerging talents to drive key initiatives and provide a sustainable advantage for achieving business results together with own personal growth
 
7. Provide full support on university relations duties and tasks to the team upon requested;
 
8. Perform ad-hoc assignments as required.

Key requirement:

1. Degree Holder or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Business Administration or related professional disciplines, preferably with Master and Doctor Degree;
 
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive and relevant working experiences;
 
3. With solid writing skills, familiar with official documents writing, able to show strong business letters, project reports and standard reports writing capabilities;
 
4. Have a wide range of network with faculty of computer science, information science, electronic engineering, software engineering of various universities both in HK and Mainland China. Have rich experience in project cooperation with scientific research team of universities;
 
5. Capable to conduct project discussions with professors or researchers to discuss key points and programs of cooperation, implement the contents of the cooperation in the negotiation and specific formulation of contract provisions;
 
6. Have strong project management skills and experience, able to successfully fulfill the projects’ goals and efficiently management the project from all levels including project planning, role assignment, follow-up implementation, submission of results, lessons learned and other aspects;
 
7. Have strong business negotiation skills, with strong contract review capabilities and experience, be able to modify and improve the R & D cooperation contract for all parties involved with a balanced protection of rights and interests;
 
8. A sharp sense of responsibility with the ability to manage priorities and deliverables to superior results whilst keeping a calm and affable demeanor;
 
9. Mature, flexible, fast-paced and able to work independently;
 
10. Proficient PC knowledge in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing;
 
11. Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English; 
 
12. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline, well-organized, responsible, self-motivated, willing to learn, detail-oriented with good interpersonal skill.
