With the expansion of Biomedical Engineering Department, we are looking for candidate to fill in the new position of Biomedical Equipment Technician

Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

Job Duties:

• Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect medical equipment.
• Handle administrative matters of daily maintenance activities of medical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance of medical equipment.
• Provide technical assistance on medical equipment operation and maintenance.
• Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor.
• Shift duty and on-call duty are required.

Requirements:

• Holder of a Higher diploma, or higher in Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
• Preferably with two years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment. 
• Knowledge in the operation of different testers and calibrators.
• Good communication skill with strong teamwork spirit.
• Demonstrates independent problem solving skills.
• Good computer skills, preferably with database management experience.
• Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Biomedical Engineering Scheme A training (http://www.hkie.org.hk/en/quali/scheme_a/) will be offered for suitable candidate
