Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the smooth operation of the Club’s two busy bars and beverage provision supporting several dining venues.
  • Provide quality drinks and services to our cosmopolitan and diverse membership and ensure compliance with local liquor licensing and regulations.
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage Committee to select and procure appropriate beverages with regular special events and promotions.
  • Establish and operate efficient systems for purchasing, stock control and regulation and smooth flow of ordering and deliveries.
  • Organise and supervise staff rosters.
  • Be up to date with changing beverage trends and come up with innovative ideas.
  • Deal directly with suppliers, maintaining good working relationship and negotiating best terms for the Club.
  • Assess staff development needs, organize training and coach staff.
  • Operate according to best practice in all areas of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Hospitality or Catering Management or above, with WSET qualification an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years’ solid experience in F & B or Hotels operation. Aptitude, demonstrable skills and relevant experience in a club, hotel or busy restaurant are equally as important as qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of and competence and confidence in selecting wine, spirits, beer and coffee are essential.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, calmness under pressure.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, spoken and written.  Good people skills and a willingness to be flexible are essential.
