Job Description

Sales & Marketing – Hong Kong  

Report to: Sales & Marketing Manager, Area South China

Job Description:

  • To support field sales staff to chase all account’s support and identity / solicit any new opportunities
  • To identity key account’s requirement and their new opportunities
  • Accountable to handle appointed FOB tender Account with regular calls and formulate strategy to maximize support
  • To control/manage the booking release of each string, and prepare vessel roll-over with optimal utilization
  • Paid visit to those core account’s supplier / agent to enhance their support
  • Update tender / key account’s lifting report
  • Post-Analysis of the individual Budget Trust performance and loading port performance of the Clients and information to Sales Team for action
  • Analysis of trade statistics (Data liner and other intelligence source , Shipping Gazette) and internal Sales leads to Sales Team
  • After Sales support , i.e. assist the Sales in communication by sending rate offers and evaluating success of Sales Calls
  • Prepare and update ASC Sales Kit
  • Prepare and update competition profile for ASC all Trades
  • Consolidation of Weekly volume forecast & sales Reports at ASC

Qualifications:

  • Preferably tertiary education with 5 passes in HKCEE
  • Fluent Oral English, Mandarin, & Cantonese
  • Fluent Writing English & Chinese
  • Excellent Knowledge on Word/Excel application
  • Minimum 2 years’ shipping / forwarding experience
  • Good Power Point / presentation / Word- Excel skills
  • Good communication skills English and Mandarin
  • Reply any rate/service enquiry within same working day by effectively using long distance call
  • Working on self-initiative
  • Dress neatly and present a professional image
  • Maintain customer files
  • Communicate competitive information to Sales and Management
  • Use information technology to save time
  • Comply with all company policies and operate within the expense budget
  • Develop positive relationships, communicate and coordinate activities with other employees in Sales, CUS, Logistics, Operations, Accounting and other Local Business Units (LBU’s)
