Job Title:           Contracts Administrator

Department:     Curtain Wall Projects 

Job Location:    Hong Kong

Package:           HK$55k - HK$75k per month, 13 Months Guarenteed (Very Competitive Basic and other Benefits depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting a Contracts Administrator with a background in the region to join a highly reputable organisation who is the Main Contractor for various large scale buildings projects in Hong Kong.

This is the opportunity to join a legal team and to provide an administrative support for the range of pre/post contract tasks. This is an opportunity for someone who is experienced and have previously handled all types of contract administration, progress claims, financial control forecast and control. 

Job Description 

  • Experienced in both Pre-Contract and Post-Contract
  • Coordinates the negotiation of all contracts and sub-contracts.
  • Interprets contract provisions to help resolve claims and questions submitted by the contracted parties.
  • Receives requests, obtains estimates, updates records, initiates paperwork and follows up in request for approval of additional works not previously covered in the contract
  • Monitor, co-ordinate and ensure/maintain records relevant to contractual entitlements (e.g. claims, Variation orders etc.)
  • Establishes and updates records of all correspondence relates to contract activities.
  • Drafting, evaluation, negotiation and execution of contracts including principle, inter- and sub- contracts

Desired Skills & Experience

  • At least 4 years Contract Administration (Preparation of claims & compiling support documentation, Drafting of contractual/commercial related correspondence, Updating & negotiating in a timely manner)
  • Good understanding of contract law & common law
  • Experience in sub-contractors & commercial contracts administration, cost & budgeting controls & analysis
  • Experience in dispute resolution practices, delay & disruption is preferred.
  • Member of RICS/HKIS or of a similarly recognized professional institute e.g. MCIOB/ MHKIE is advantageous.
  •  Advantageous If you have contract management, service level agreement and  business case development.
