Job Description

• Prepare media, reagent and agar according to the standard procedures.
• Perform routine and ad hoc microbiological tests for food and environmental samples independently.
• Assist in media and method verification, confirmations, data processing and data entry.
• Assist in spy sampling and sample collections when necessary.
• Help in daily housekeeping, daily air monitoring of the laboratory.
• Participate in monthly inventory checking for consumables.
• Support the laboratory works under instruction of team leader.
• Weekend overtimes may be needed and there is overtime paid.

Requirements

• Diploma or above in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Biology or equivalent
• At least 1 year solid experience in microbiology testing, preferably in commercial laboratory related to food / water tests.
• Well understand the requirements of ISO 17025 / HOKLAS / Dakks
• Solid experience in sample handling, preparation, media validation, confirmation techniques.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English and Cantonese
• Pleasant, well-organized, responsible, independently, proactive, able to work under pressure
