Job Description

An international hotel group with assets across Asia is looking for an Interiors Project Manager to join their expanding team in Macau. 

The Interiors Project Manager will be responsible for assisting Senior Project Managers, Directors, and Senior Directors with the management of a range of renovation and refurbishment projects, including conversions, room additions, brand changes and adaptive reuse.

The Role 

  • The Project Manager will be primarily responsible for providing technical assistance and support services to Senior Project Managers, Directors, and Senior Directors in an effort to streamline management of the design and construction pipeline. 
  • Full responsibility for management of project from initial meetings with stakeholders & senior management through design management/review to final walkthrough.
  • Pre-reviewing schematic plans (25%), design development (50%), final documents (100%) and specifications in detail to ensure compliance with brand standards and prototype documents
  • Pre-reviewing construction submittals and shop drawings in detail for hotel projects to ensure compliance with brand standards and prototype documents and the approved plans submitted to the Group
  • Handle full tender management process including proposal review, costing analysis, board approvals and contractor/consultant award
  • Organise and lead regular meetings with internal stakeholders, external consultants and contractors to obtain progress updates and discuss project specific matters
  • Clearly document progress reports escalating critical issues to senior management and detailing any development matters that will impact final account stages
  • Work closely with internal and external cost management staff to ensure project costs remain within assigned budgets
  • Advise senior management on any costings that will negatively impact budgets, providing solutions where possible

The Talent

  • MACAU PERMANENT ID CARD HOLDER IS ESSENTIAL
  • Degree qualified in Project/Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or similar real estate related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably from within hotel, hospitality or retail environments
  • Fluency in Cantonese and English is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
