NOTE: THIS ROLE IS A 6 MONTHS CONTRACT ROLE FOR MATERNITY COVER STARTING FROM MAY 2018

 

TITLE:                      Temporary Staffing Manager (6 months contract)

DEPARTMENT:      Human Resources                                               

REPORTING TO:   Sr. Manager, HRBP HQ & Staffing                  

LOCATION:              Hong Kong   

                                                       

GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

Gap Greater China is the primary growth market for Gap Inc., covering all channels of business in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Our first stores opened in 2010, with two in Shanghai, and two in Beijing, and we grew our online presence concurrently, launching Gap.cn and Tmall sites. Gap reached 100 stores faster than its competitors and is on pace to deliver its first profitable year well in advance of the competition. Gap is represented in China by Gap Specialty, Gap Outlet/Factory and Old Navy brands.

 

The Staffing Manager will provide full spectrum of Recruitment support to Headquarter, Upper Field and Field so as to support business needs in Hong Kong with implementing recruiting projects, policies and procedures so as to comply with external and internal compliance requirement.

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Recruiting Project, Process & Procedure

  • Lead or support on the recruitment projects;
  • Implement recruiting policies & procedures to develop and execute recruiting plans;
  • Support Staffing team in ongoing improvement in recruiting processes/ procedure as assigned.

 

Vendor Management

  • Build good relationship with external vendors to secure the recruitment plan will be well executed;
  • Post openings in recruitment systems, job boards, with professional organizations, and in other positions appropriate venues;
  • Manage all recruiting channels / websites and keep them updated;
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. 

 

Recruiting Activity Implementation

  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need;
  • Maintain close contact with HRBP and business stakeholder to obtain the updated hiring needs.
  • Conduct prescreening and interviews for all level positions;
  • Coordinate with HRBP or hiring manager to support the interview arrangement;
  • Conduct regular follow-up with hiring manager to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementations;
  • Assist in preparing and sending offer package;
  • Provide ad hoc recruiting related administration support whenever needed.

 

 Campus/Internship Recruitment

  • Coordinate and key player in campus/internship recruiting initiatives;
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition;
  • Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting
  • Attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.

 

Administrative Duties and Record Keeping

  • Assist in preparing, reviewing and consolidating the regular recruiting related report;
  • Perform other special project as assigned. 

 

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

 
  • 2 Part-Time HR Support as direct report
  • HR team
  • Headquarter and Upper Field team in different levels
  • Store GMs
  • External vendor and government units in recruiting related 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Good communication skills and good teamwork;
  • Good analytic skill, attention to detail;
  • High self initiative and willing to learn and stretch;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet assigned timeline, Able to work independently
  • Familiar with local Employment Law and related regulation;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs and web-base internet software and products
  • Good oral & written in English and Mandarin.

2) Minimum educational level:

  • Bachelor

 

3) Minimum experience:

  • 4-5 yearsof recruitment or HR working experience focusing on mass recruitment, preferably in fashion retail / recruitment agencies
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Associate Staffing Manager
