The Library now seeks an enthusiastic and detail oriented individual to join the team of Digital and Multimedia Services Section to develop digital scholarship and data curation projects. The successful candidate will assist in (i) managing and coordinating digital projects; (ii) training project staff hired by faculty collaborators and library support staff; (iii) checking and verifying final datasets; (iv) data visualization; and (v) any other duties assigned by his/her supervisor. Shift duties are required.

Applicants should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with four years extensive social sciences research experience. Project management and supervisory experience are expected. Good interpersonal skills and customer service attitude are required, with good command of English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua). Familiarity with SPSS, Excel, and Tableau is necessary. Skill at data mining is preferred. He/She should be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
