Position – CTO / Head of Development  

Overview

Web developer with both front-end and back-end development experience, capable of Linux backend administrative tasks, HTML5/Javascript frontend development, and MySQL DB querying & maintenance.

The candidate will need to be possess team management experience, and comfortable communicating with non-technical stakeholders, collecting feature requirements, and leading future junior developers/devOps engineers.

Required Technical Skills / Experience

• HTML and Javascript Development Experience
• PHP and/or GoLang development experience
• MySQL (or similar RDBMS) query writing experience
• Basic (or better) RDBMS/MySQL administrative experience
• Linux scripting and (at least some) Linux administrative experience
• Experience (or a strong understanding) of HTTP / REST RPC

Other Requirements

• 5+ years working as a programmer / software engineer 
• Solution Design Experience
• Fluency in English
• Ability to learn new technologies / programming languages
• Strong Understanding of cloud computing and server virtualization concepts 

Responsibilities

• Managing a cloud hosted website hosted using Amazon AWS's EC2, RDS, S3 (and various other) services 
• Developing new features as required by the stakeholders of the site
• Data querying and checking for correctness/integrity 
• Working with (and being a team-lead for) future devOps engineers that will join
• Communicating issues, concerns, solutions, suggestions, etc to stakeholders
