Brandloyalty is looking for a Data Scientist to join the Consumer and Business Intelligence team based in Hong Kong. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking and innovative company that is using machine learning to enhance business growth and offerings. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for designing and delivering innovative tools and solutions across the business
  • Support the team in providing the next level of customer insights and targeting
  • Set up big data and machine learning solutions
  • Work on machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics looking at transaction data, text analytics, web crawlers, predictive demand analytics etc
  • Communicate results with internal and external stakeholders
  • Have a solutions-finding mindset and create data driven solutions that impact our clients business
  • Improve our customer centric loyalty programs
  • Liaise with external Big Data companies

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in sciences for example, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics or Programming;
  • Hands on experience with data and analytical tools. Preferably with consumer data, e.g. membership cards or from retailers (food and non-food)
  • Interest in predictive analytics and insight analysis
  • A strong capability in advanced statistics
  • Experience in developing machine learning algorithms in R or Python
  • Experience with cloud platforms  (AWS / Azure) and CI/CD environments;
  • Exposure to Big Data Infrastructure, i.e Hadoop/Cloudera (preferred)
  • Excellent SQL
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power Bi, Tableau is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
  • Able to communicate complex analyses in a clear and simple manner;
  • Actively follow trends in this field and is passionate about sharing it with your team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Thinks out of the box
