Role Specification

 

Job Purpose:

Responsible for Plant Operations and Business Development

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  1. GM represents Comstar China for all aspects of business -

Plant Functioning and Performance, including Quality, Delivery, Cost and Safety

  1. Manage cross-functional resources to ensure program information flow, direction and implementation timelines with quantifiable milestones.
  2. Responsible for flawless launch of Customer Programs
  3. Interface with Customers on Quality and Delivery
  4. Accountable for Plant costs and Profitability
  5. Interface with Comstar India Management team to seek support on PD, Manufacturing, Purchasing, MP&L and STA for successful running of the plant
  6. Conduct regular Plant meetings for progress review and Risk management, and provide regular reports to Legal Representative and Comstar Management
  7. Apply COMSTAR Product Development System (CPDS) for launch of New programs consistent with customer requirements
  8.  Ensure staffing to meet production commitments – including Hiring, Training, Overtime
  9. Ensure adherence to local legal and regulatory requirements – Financial, environmental, governmental (local, federal)

  1. Plant Management in similar size setup and role
  2. Functional Knowledge in Auto/Auto component industry

 

  1. Automotive / Auto component Industry experience
  2. Starter / Alternator / Motor   Manufacturing

 Personal SkillsAttributes:

  1. Minimum 5-10 year work experience in a similar function in a Tier ½ Automotive Industry
  2. Excellent Communication Skill – Verbal and written – in multi cultural environment
  3. Ability to prioritize own and others (Organization and Planning)

  5. English Knowledge – Speaking and Written
