Job Description

We have an exciting new requirement for a Sales & Distribution Manager. As the manager you will be responsible for the sales and distribution of ITV’s portfolio of international pay TV services, including the ITV Choice channel, SVOD, and other ventures including the Ginx eSports channel. The role will focus initially on the Asia-Pacific Region and the Middle East – then potentially expanding to other parts of the world as needed.

 

This position will require you to work closely with the Head of Content and Distribution for ITV Choice to formulate an agreed sales distribution strategy and targets for ITV’s portfolio of pay TV services. You must show evidence of where you have developed business plans, and implemented new opportunities to generate revenue. You will set up meetings with existing and potential distribution partners and lead commercial discussions and negotiations to achieve sales targets. You will lead the implementation of new distribution relationships, liaising with operational teams to ensure a successful launch, and provide on-going account management, to ensure the ongoing success of ITV’s services. You must maintain a strong and up to date knowledge of the content distribution sector in Asia/Middle East.

 

To be considered for this position you must provide evidence of the following: 

 

  • Personal track record of success in front line sales, proactive, dynamic and driven to make sales (ideally in TV channel distribution or similar)
  • An accomplished negotiator with a focus on securing and closing deals to reach revenue and profit targets
  • Proven ability to accurately forecast, monitor and report on sales revenue targets and budgets
  • Experience of generating and growing customer relationships that are of demonstrable value to the business
  • Highly skilled in developing and delivering persuasive, creative and energised sales presentations and pitches
  • Knowledge of the technical and operational aspects of the TV channel business an advantage
  • Experience with planning sales trips, including setting up meetings with existing and potential distribution partners
  • Experience with managing the process of negotiation, preparation and finalisation of carriage and partnership contracts
  • Experience with trade marketing, including participation in industry forums and trade shows.
