Core Duties:

• Liaise closely with overseas internal customers (purchasing, marketing, customer care, sales , etc) and vendors to ensure orders are processed efficiently and goods shipped on time and meet our quality specification.
• Responsible for identifying, evaluating and qualifying new vendors and implementing sourcing plans and policies for the product categories assigned to meet the Company’s strategic objectives and customer needs
• Source & negotiate all elements of new supplier relationships including lead time, capacity allocation, pricing and resource allocation among others to ensure reliable service, quality and low-cost procurement.
• Source and develop new product concepts, new materials and additional production capacity within a specific timeline for assigned product categories and support internal customers to timely launch new items to meet the product and service expectations of external customers.
• Develop relationships with key vendors at all levels and manage the relationships the division has with the senior management at vendors.
• Proactively resolve open issues on orders and projects and efficiently track project and order status.
• Support improvement projects with current vendors such as capacity expansion, cost reduction, lead time improvement, MOQ reduction, etc.
• Provide sales support for customer sales meetings.

 Requirements: 

• Degree holder with minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in merchandising positions.
• Knowledge of paper products, preferably in stationery, baby gifts, plush toys, or soft line items such as bags, cosmetic bags etc is a definite advantage.
• Possess extensive experience in dealing with North American customers.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A good team player who is well organized, self-motivated and attentive to details.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Frequent travels to China are required.
