Responsibilities

- General site supervision and management, including monitoring site activities in particular areas of Environment, Health and Safety;
- Control and supervise Contractor(s)’ activities including safety precautionary measures;
- Ensure the Contractor(s) follows the agreed works programme, legalized work methods, including but not limited to non-hazardous materials;
- Ensure the works are carried out according to specifications and drawings and identifying faulty materials, workmanship etc. ;
- Report to the Architect/Project Manager on site problems, progress, quality of workmanship, etc. ;
- Ensure proper contract management and that site records (especially records and logs maintain by the Main Contractor) are kept up to date;
- Prepare regular progress report;
- Check and verify payment bills submitted by the Contractor(s);
- Check if the workmen and site safety precautionary measures on-site are complied with the latest statutory requirements;
- Make comments on method statements and material submissions;
- Liaise with the Developer’s management representatives and commercial tenants (if any) for any complaints in relating to the site works;
- Prepare handover records;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Developer and the Architect/Project Manager;
- Coordinate and prepare defect list upon the practical completion of the works.

Requirements

- Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building or Building Studies or equivalent from a Hong Kong recognised institution or university;
- 10 years’ relevant experience in site supervision of architectural building works in Hong Kong;
- Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Clerk of Works;
- Good command of Cantonese and English.
