Job Description

CLP Engineering Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the CLP Holdings Limited, we undertake a variety of engineering work including energy services, facility management, infrastructure electrical and mechanical projects, lighting services, power engineering and traffic control & surveillance systems. We are looking for an energetic and innovative engineering professional to join the Power Engineering Branch, CLP Engineering Limited. Reporting to the Project Manager, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure effective project management of 11kV cable trench site activities including the supervision of subcontractors, material and resources planning and utilization
  • Coordinate with clients to plan, schedule and set up proper procedures and precautions to meet the Company’s requirements and Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards
  • Conduct site checks and audits to ensure work quality, safety standards and good housekeeping practices are maintained at work sites
  • Assist Project Manager and engineers in carrying out work schedule planning and material acquisition
  • Liaise with suppliers, government parties, developers, contractors and other related parties in the cable trench excavation works, site activities and site disputes
  • Supervise contractors’ workforce operations, devise and implement systems to manage the performance of contractors to complete projects effectively
  • Assist in developing junior engineers’ job competencies
  • Acquire knowledge of applying road work permits from relevant government bodies and private sector for project execution

 Requirements:

  • A recognized university degree in relevant engineering disciplines plus at least 3 years’ relevant working experience
  • Sound knowledge on project management with relevant construction site experience
  • Strong supervisory, communication and leadership skills
  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated, a good team player and able to work independently and under pressure
  • Possession of Construction Industry Safety Card
  • Candidate with a valid driving license (1 or 2) is preferred
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Project Engineer
