Lazada International based in Hong Kong is a dynamic and international team of around 100 people that supports international sellers to sell into South East Asia. These sellers are mainly based in China, South Korea, Japan, Australia and United States.

Summary of the role

We are looking for a driven team player with solid technological understanding and strong business acumen to be part of the build-up of our new business area: Seller Services Marketplace – a double sided marketplace that connects our international sellers with 3rd party service providers. This person will be one of the key players in building an ecosystem of best-in-class technology partners and independent software vendors (ISV) to offer smart tools and applications to empower our International Lazada Sellers. If you are excited by the idea of building strategic partnerships with the tech community to deliver innovative solutions to merchants through the newly released Lazada Open Source developer platform and the Services Marketplace, this could be the role for you. Key tasks and responsibilities

▪     Drive and implement business development strategy to deliver on sales targets

–    Build the Services Marketplace business development plan across service categories like logistics, cataloguing, customer service, marketing, and omni-channel marketplace integrators

–    Own sales targets for each vertical and ensure targets are met every month

▪     Lead generation and pipeline development:

–    Build awareness of Lazada Open Platform and Services Marketplace amongst ISVs and service provider community

–    Identify best in class service providers and independent service providers (ISVs) and generate quality leads

–    Engage a community of developers to build smart applications on Lazada Open Platform

▪     Partners’ technical onboarding and incubation:

–    Support our partners from tools development through to testing and pilots

–    Manage the roll-out of each new tool on the Services Marketplace

▪     Drive seller adoption and ensure commercial impact

–    Market services and tools to sellers and ensure seller adoption to drive commercial impact

▪     Partner performance management:

–    Gather feedbacks from sellers and internal team on service and application quality

–    Help partners continuously innovate upon their tools and applications in order to service our sellers better and to increase adoption

 

Qualifications & Skills

▪     Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Management, Computer Science or Engineering

▪     5+ years of relevant experience in IT sales or account management and 2+ years of revenue reporting

▪     Strong technical knowledge and understanding of technology companies

▪     Natural sales instinct and a desire to work in channels, emerging technologies and startups

▪     Experience in managing service providers, negotiating partnerships agreements, defining and tracking deliverables

▪     Good project management skills, ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel, plan for projects, manage own time and priorities

▪     High-energy with sound business acumen

▪     Self-driven with ability to take on and create new assignments. Willing and eager to learn and deliver the extra mile.

▪     Ability to work in a fast-moving environment in cross functional and cross-cultural teams

▪     Willing to travel at least once per month

▪     Good communicator in both spoken & written English and Chinese (Mandarin is mandatory, Cantonese is preferred)
