Job Description

 

The Project “Joint-Institution Network for Student Success” (JINESS) is funded by the Quality Enhancement Support Scheme. The JINESS project is jointly established by five self-financed higher education institutions, namely, Hang Seng Management College (as the Principal Investigator), Caritas Institute of Higher Education, Centennial College, Chu Hai College of Higher Education and Tung Wah College. It aims to develop a “Joint-Institution Career Portal” for students to identify career opportunities, engage in career development programmes, and interact with students and career masters from all the self-financed higher education institutions.

 

JINESS will also facilitate inter-institutional events, such as career fair, human resources forums, student conference and research to provide students with unique opportunities for personal enrichment as well as all-round development while preparing them for future careers.

Duties
The appointee will be responsible for (i) working closely with the JINESS Project Team, IT Team and other Project Officers in launching and supporting the online platform, planning and implementing the inter-institutional events and programmes; (ii) supporting the institution’s initiatives in career planning and development; (iii) establishing and maintaining positive and effective relationships with employers and students through activities and events; (iv) preparing relevant activity report and collecting data for management’s review and planning; (v) keeping accurate and complete records of all the documents in relation to JINESS; and (vi) undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Senior Project Officer and the Management Committee of the JINESS project.

Appointment Criteria
Applicants should (i) have a recognized degree with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in career advising, marketing, communication, project management, or related field; (ii) be creative to develop ideas and concepts in promotion and social media, be able to reach out to young university students; (iii) be capable to work independently and be a good team player; (iv) be flexible, well-organized, attentive to details with logical thinking; (v) be proficient in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese Word Processing; (vi) have a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; and with knowledge of business writing.
