Assistant Leisure Manager Job Description

To manage the reservations and tour operations for FIT & Group accounts as well as onsite services to ensure the smooth running and delivery so that client expectations are exceeded. Manage key client accounts and suppliers building and maintain excellent relationships with all business partners. Work with the Senior Leisure & Wholesale Manager to develop product and maintain Agent tariffs and supplier contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with managing a small team of reservation staff, airport representatives and tour guides

- Respond to enquiries and prepare creative proposals for leisure FIT and group programs

- Manage on site services and resources when the business is confirmed and to ensure that all services delivered exceed client expectations.

- Manage and hold the emergency/operations phone after hours on shift rotation basis

- Handle all accounting matters including costings, account reconciliation and follow accounting procedures for business handled by the Leisure Team, both with clients and suppliers.

- Run fortnightly transfer reports and liaise with suppliers to ensure all requirements are confirmed and booked

- Product development, with clients and suppliers and ensure any new products launched are communicated regularly to our key accounts.

- Liaise between clients and suppliers and ensure the service delivered by suppliers meets with company service standards.

 

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the travel and tourism industry in a similar position

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both clients and suppliers

- Experience Supervising a Team 

- Excellent written and spoken English & Cantonese is mandatory

- Ability to work independently and without supervision

- Networking ability with business partners in industry

- Experience working with European & USA clients highly desirable 

- Knowledge of Hong Kong tourism products

- Proficient in MS Office and other online booking systems

- Immediately available candidate is preferred

 

 

Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Operations Supervisor or Senior Reservations Executive roles.
