Job requirements:

• Solid banking and finance experiences, particularly under types 1, 4, 6 and 9 licences for regulated activities under Securities and Futures Ordinance including funds and asset management, pre-IPO and fund raising arrangements; 
• Conversant with private fund set up, handling of regulators’ investigations and the money lending ordinance related matters;
• Prepare and review legal documentations and correspondences with business counterparts;
• Monitor proposed or newly enacted policy, laws, regulations and on-going compliance issues that will impact the business, activities and operations and devise and advise on and implement necessary compliance programmes;
• Provide legal support in contentious matters including the coordination of collecting background information and evidential materials; and
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external parties and manage external lawyers as required.
• Provide legal advices on handling external inquiries.

Requirements:

• Qualified Hong Kong Legal Practitioner;
• Minimum 7 years of post qualification experience in private practice or as in-house legal counsel, previous in-house legal counsel and compliance experience is a definite advantage;
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical ability;
• Mature with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Strong attention to details and ability to work under pressure; and
• Good written and verbal English and Chinese communication skills (Mandarin is a plus).
