Huatai (Hong Kong) Futures Limited – Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Handle basic accounting operations of futures business;

• Perform daily accounting entries (e.g. daily fund transfer of trust account, expenses payments and accruals, etc);

• Assist in compensation and benefit functions including payroll, leave record and MPF, etc and the preparation of its related accounting entries;

• Assist in processing and preparing month end closing and reporting schedules;

• Assist in liaising with external parties including bankers, HKSE, tax authorities, lawyers, auditor, investors and other regulatory bodies;

• Perform ad-hoc assignment as required.

   

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economic or other business-related discipline;

• Minimum 1 year of working experience, experience gained from securities & futures accounting with licensed institution (type 1, 2, 4, 5 & 6) is preferable;

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin is a must, fluent in Cantonese is preferable;

• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel;

• Numeric and sensitive to figures, good analytical & problem solving skill; Strong analytical thinking and result-oriented;

• Self-motivated, proactive, able to perform under pressure and work independently.
