Requirements:

The Horticultural Inspector shall either
(i) be a degree holder of any of the following disciplines: agriculture, arboriculture, biology, botany, forestry, horticulture, landscape architecture, landscape management, or relevant subjects; or
(ii) have a minimum of 5 years practical experience in arboricultural/horticultural practice and shall have passed at least 5 subjects (including Chinese and English languages and either Biology or Geography) in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or
(iii) have a minimum of 4 years practical experience in arboricultural/horticultural practice and shall have attained “Level 2” or above in at least 5 subjects (including Chinese and English languages and either Biology or Geography) in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or equivalent approved.
