To teach on one or more modules of the MSc in Data Science 

 You may apply for one or more of the following modules:-

1. Research Skills and Academic Literacy (CETM11): to prepare students in key information seeking, research and academic skills
2. Big Data in Organisations (CETM23): to teach students to apply tools to analyse and apply Big Data sets in organisational settings
3. Data Science Fundamentals (CETM24): to assist students to use and apply different types of data, using different tools for presentation and visualisation
4. Data Visualisation (CETM35): to examine trends, cycles, workflow and risks in Big Data visualisation
5. Machine Learning and Data Mining (CETM26): to introduce the challenges of pattern extraction and knowledge discovery and overview machine learning and data mining tools
6. Data Analytics (CETM27): to teach the theory and practice of Data Analytics, and examine the features of Data Warehouses
7. Big Data Security (CETM28): to learn to manage the risk, threats and vulnerabilities in the context of Big Data

Person Specifications:

• Preferably a Doctorate in Data Science or a relevant subject
• Subject matter expert
• Active researcher in the field
• Experience of problem-based learning
• Able to conduct assignment-led learning
• Able to collaborate with industry
• Group-work facilitation skills
• Sound English ability
• Links to professional bodies useful, such as Hong Kong Computing Society
• Able to promote an interactive learning culture
