The Job:

• Monitor reliable supply of electrical and mechanical components by ensuring capacity, quality, delivery and customer service through regular review of suppliers' performance
• Achieve price reduction targets by proactive development and implementation of price reduction strategies
• Active supply base benchmarking based on principle of total cost of ownership, regular assessment and review of suppliers’ performance
• Participate in project team to ensure project progress is being properly managed in the areas of risk management and material availability
• Transfer smoothly purchasing activities from initial purchasing stage to procurement stage by communicating with procurement staff
• Ensure data accurately in SAP, including price and master data and timely review of contract agreement for superior’s approval
• Assist purchasing section head to drive and sustain continuous improvements in purchasing process
• Review and support in developing and implementation of commodity supply base strategy

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Electronic / Mechancal / Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
• 15 years experience with at least 8 experience in purchasing. Holding of similar job position for at least 5 years
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English and Mandarin
• Exposure in commercial environment and project management
• Strong drive, commitment and analytical power
• Able to work and contribute in cross-functional team
