We are looking for a Passionate and Talented team member- Head Chef to join our friendly team at Papillon Caffe.  We specialise in Western Cuisine.

Entry requirements

You’ll need:

• A passion for food
• Excellent and precise cooking skills
• Leadership, management and organisational skills
• Creativity & motivation
• The ability to control a budget and work with figures
• The ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
• The ability to stay calm and over come any food production problems
• Proven experience as a head chef
• Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
• Credentials in health & safety training

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Controlling and directing food preparation process and any other relative activities
• Contructing menus with new or existing culinary creations, whilst ensuring the variet and quality of the servings
• Approving and ‘polishing’ dishes before they reach the customer
• Liase with suppliers and plan orders of ingredients.
• Remedy any problems or defects
• Be fully in chare of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
• Oversee the work of the team
• Comply with health, safety and hygiene guidelines and regulations
• Maintain a happy environment
