Our client, one of Hong Kong's most innovative technology companies are looking for strong Database Specialist to join their expanding team. They are using a combination of Big Data, AI and Deep Machine Learning to transform the industry they operate within. They are well funded and have been backed by some of the industry’s leading names.

Responsibilities:

• Design, management and administer DB
• Set up high-availability DB clusters
• Ensure data quality
• Performance tuning, backup and recovery states/policies
• Security hardening on DB access

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in DB design, management and administration
• Skills and experience required on MySQL and Mongo DB, both using remote clients and server console
• Experience in setting up high-availability DB clusters
• Experience in DB upgrade procedures with zero downtime
• Experience in projects where large amount of data is involved, preferably in geographically distributed contexts
• Familiarity with typical big data challenges
• Familiarity with security hardening on DB access and security best practices
• Experience in data replication and synchronization among multiple servers
• Capability to design and improve data and DB architecture in a big-data, distributed environment
• Capability to work in team and support developers on DB-specific issues and optimizations
• Capability to integrate with dev-ops team in order to identify best deployment, update and maintenance procedures
• Good Linux/Unix skills
• As a plus, experience in other no-SQL DBs and time series DBs
