RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS, SKILLS 

The account manager is a public relations position focused on media relations, project execution and client services. Working closely with the account director, the key responsibility of the account manager is to ensure smooth execution of daily media & public relations activities and tasks such as overall strategy development, product loan management, media enquiries, media pitching, event planning, and editorial report development with the support from the team.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or journalism or related field as well as relevant work experience in public relations.  The candidate should have strong writing, research and organization skills, be willing to adjust to a variety of client temperaments and personalities and be willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time. Should have a can-do attitude and be a team player. 

Assist and working closely with the Director:

• Develop strategic PR Plan and proposal tailored to the needs of different client and project
• Execute & follow through with activities based on strategic PR Plan and Proposal
• Identify & secure various editorial and media opportunities for multiple clients for maximum exposure
• Liaise with media pitching on behalf of each client’s to maximize media exposure
• Cultivate & maintain relations with key media and influencers/VIPs
• Provide on-site support at media and VIP events
• Conducting and completing market and industry research
• Manage relevant contact database
• Prepare agendas and media updates for client calls
• Compile and send out editorial clippings to clients on a regular basis 

KEY ATTRIBUTES 

• Minimum of at least 4-5 years of experience as s public relations executive in relevant industry (Lifestyle/Design/Art/Hospitality PR exposure preferred)
• Associate or bachelor degree required in advertising, PR, marketing, communication or related field
• The candidate should have strong communication skills (both written and oral), research, and organization skills
• Be able to work independently and well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Accomplishes tasks accurately, thoroughly, and with a keen eye for detail both with quantitative and qualitative data
• Willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
• Must be efficient in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, Fashion GPS
