About the Role

This is a multi-faceted role for someone who wants to join an exciting and dynamic HK-listed company in the Alibaba ecosystem. This is a full-time position in our Hong Kong office. You will be part of the Investment and Global Strategy team which oversees the company’s efforts in three critical areas:

1. International markets expansion – The team is responsible for the company’s international markets expansion and growth opportunities, working with leading local partners in the payments, media, and e-commerce industries in markets such as India and throughout Southeast Asia to grow the company’s presence and business portfolio globally.

2. Strategic investments and M&A – The team is responsible for evaluating and pursuing opportunities such as joint ventures, partnership projects, capital markets related transactions, etc in relevant industries to strengthen its business partnerships and enhance strategic growth opportunistically.

3. Corporate communications – The team is responsible for communicating the company’s strategy and objectives, elevating the corporate brand and proactively positioning the company externally especially within the financial community. The team is responsible for communicating and cultivating ongoing relationships with stakeholders such as institutional investors, research professionals, financial reporters and general media.

Responsibilities

• Prepare external company communications, including press releases, presentation materials, regulatory reporting, etc in both English and Chinese
• Assist in executing the company’s overall investor and media relations campaigns
• Conduct relevant market research and feasibility studies to help assess potential business or investment opportunities
• Assist in preparation of relevant new business documentations, including business proposals, cost analyses, work processes, etc
• Maintain business and market data, industry trends and internal business metrics
• Liaising with teams across various lines of business and functions to help drive and manage ongoing projects and initiatives
• Occasional travel to PRC

Requirements

• Degree holder in Journalism, Communication, Finance, Business Studies or other related disciplines
• Candidates with media, PR, or consulting background preferred
• Relevant work experience with listed companies, and in the internet, mobile or media industries a plus
• Excellent editorial and presentation materials skills
• Experience in regulatory reporting preparation a plus
• Strong PowerPoint (or Mac Keynote) skills, and familiarity with MS Excel; proficiency in Chinese word processing
• Excellent command of written and oral English and Mandarin a must
• Strong sense of responsibility, meticulous, proactive, results-oriented; able to work under pressure and independently
