The data team is seeking an experienced professional who is passionate and curious about data. The role will be key in enabling the business to provide data-driven insights, enabling data literacy and transparency, anticipate and identify opportunities in the long-term growth. The role will challenge the candidate to learn and develop data analytics and data science best practices and apply to a rapidly changing business.

Responsibilities

•  Enhance data analytics pipeline using Spark, SQL and Python
• Ensure data quality control on various processes, auditing to ensure accurate data and appropriate analytical methodologies are in place to meet business requirements
• Collaborate with product, engineering and design teams to support product development life cycles
• Develop data tracking, algorithms and statistical predictive models to identify business challenges and opportunities, and measurement
• Regularly report, monitor and analyse product performance to present insights to support decision-making and cross-functional teams

 Requirements

•  University Graduate in, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistic or related disciplines
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in data management, data analytics or business intelligence functions
• Proficient in scripting/programming language like SQL Python, R
• Familiar with Hadoop, Hue, Spark, HIVE and any data visualisation tool (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Google Data Studio) would be advantageous
• Knowledge of AWS environment would also be advantageous
• Experience in consumer data or travel industry is a plus
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• A good team player with sound analytical and problem-solving skills, willing to take challenges
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
