This role will liaise with centralized accounting and finance departments located in the United States. The departments include Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Tax. In addition, the associate will support the Head of Region and HK Sourcing management team with respect to analyzing and monitoring the business.

The associate will have the ability to develop effective relationships within both the HK and Shenzhen offices to establish alliances with key business partners in the various finance functions in the United States. The associate will have a dual reporting relationship with the Assistant Controller in the U.S. head office and the MD, Asia Sourcing.

Primary Responsibilities:

General

• Facilitate information flow from the HK Sourcing office to the appropriate finance departments to ensure timely recording and reporting of information.
• Hands on partner for key managers in the support departments to assist with prompt issue resolution.
• Provide financial support to non-finance departments located in the HK Sourcing office.

Accounting, Treasury, Tax

• Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process, including recording all journal entries and preparing account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly intercompany invoices for the HK Sourcing office.
• Perform accounts payable functions and ensure local invoices are processed and paid timely.
• Coordinate with tax specialists to ensure tax filings and prepared and completed timely.
• Monitor cash balances and execute initial steps in funds transfer.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly inventory and cash flow forecasts.
• Review and obtain approval for miscellaneous contracts.
• Key contact in local office for vendors, taxation authorities, auditors and others.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Provide commentary on variances to budget/forecast.
• Analyze and report on key performance indicators.
• Participate in annual and monthly budget/forecast setting processes.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses, including strategic business reviews on local business environment and trends.

Requirement:

• Bahcerlor degree holder with professional accounting qualifications required or equivalent
• At least 7 years of related work experience, preferrbaly from Sourcing companyy
• Ability to work as part of a remote and international team
• Detail oriented and strong communication skills required.
• Self-starter with high level of initiative to ensure issues and projects are addressed quickly.
• Flexible to accommodate new and changing requests.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent Word & Excel PC application skills.
• Knowledge of the SAP system preferred.
