Job Description

Principal Accountability:

Performs detailed accounting assignments requiring a knowledge of accounting theory and principles, following established procedures under the direction of finance manager.

Performs monthly close process through the preparation of journal entries, review of financial statements, and preparation of account reconciliations. 

Submits the quarterly financial statements.

Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions.

Reviews and analyzes journal vouchers, accounting classifications and other accounting/financial statements, records and reports.

A. Finance Accounting Area

1. External Technical Knowledge & Application

General understanding of Finance & Accounting principle (GAAP) and procedures. General understanding of local country's basic tax rules and statutory requirements.

2. Internal Technical Knowledge & Application

Knowledge of and common adherence to Global Finance Policies impacting work area performed.

Adherence to key policies may include but not limited to the following:

- Ability to understand and reconcile key balance sheet accounts

- Ability to recognize AR/AP/Asset transaction in compliance with Global Policy in SAP

3. Transactional and Process Activities

Able to enter JE in SAP and reconcile balance sheet account using SAP and SFDC/PSA.

4. Business Knowledge & Skill

Knowledge of common accounting and business acumen related-principles with frequent use or application of those principles in the support of operational partners and leaders.

Prepare for weekly roadmap for business review.

5. Organizational Savvy & Partnership

Basic level knowledge of the business unit, area, and function's organization structure, Interactions, and interdependencies.

- Has basic level knowledge of the business unit, area, and function's organization structure, interactions, and interdependencies. 

- In essence, individual is aware of processes for decision-making as well as key decision-makers.

- Builds effective business relationships with many internal customers at varying levels and across multiple functions including functions outside of direct support.

B. Office Administration Area / HR Related Area

1. Collect and address employees' concerns and feedback within the organization (e.g. office environment, supply of office equipment)

2. Support HR Payroll related task locally

3. Coordinate all office administrative activities (e.g. prepare and renew security badge, clean and tidiness of office environment, regular office supply / pantry stock check and replenishment, courier/ postage management) 

4. Able to work in multi-tasking environment and set work priorities in order to complete tasks on time with quality

5. Coordinate office facilities related matters (e.g. office movement, maintenance and repair)

6. Able to liaison with vendors

7. Assist in company event and draft related announcement

8. Know and apply operational processes in daily operations (e.g. invoicing, payment)  

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance required with a minimum of two years of work experience in Accounting or Finance.

Knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and concepts. 

Strong internal and external customer service orientation.

Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization including senior level management. 

Excellent PC and mainframe accounting software skills.

High level of personal motivation and a results oriented approach. 

Ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Good oral and written communication skills. 

Strong analytical ability.

Foreign language knowledge a plus.

Ability to work and adapt to different foreign cultures.
