Job Overview
The main duty of this position will be to manage all the financial activities in Asia region (including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and ASEAN countries). This will include the financial reporting, analysis and budgeting and playing an active partnering role to help and support the growing business in the region. This position will directly report to the Regional Controller, Asia.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure effective strategy implementation and business performance management
- Managing the development and implementation of the financial policies and procedures and ensure their compliance with international, local standards and best practices
- Coordinate and perform month-end closing and resolve issues arose timely to ensure accuracy and smooth process
- Responsible for timely statutory audits and tax filing
- Budget preparation and forecasting
- Prepare financial & management analysis including variance analysis, margin analysis, pricing review and commercial advice to improve business performance
- Financial modeling for the potential business opportunities
- Implement high standard internal control and legal compliance fulfillment
- Work closely with business unit to support the distribution in channel management
- Process streamlining and simplification
- Lead and support ad-hoc projects assigned
Key Competence and Requirements
- Degree holder in Accounting or Business with HKICPA or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with good knowledge of taxation and statutory requirement of the region
- Solid and hands-on operation/commercial experience
- Proficiency in Computer Skills such as MS Excel, Word and accounting system, Oracle is preferable
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Strong communication and organization skill, financial judgement and problem-solving skill
- Self-motivated with strong sense of ownership and commitment to tasks & time
- Able to work independently under pressure, coping with fast-paced environment
