Job Description

(Smart Manufacturing & Materials Division) Ref: SMD071/JDB/190418  

Job Duties:

  • Provide technical support on the daily operation of laboratories for plastic, fibres and food materials
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and support development of new test items
  • Support system operation, provide regular housekeeping and maintenance in laboratories
  • Assist laboratory supervisor to coordinate with clients, suppliers and vendors
  • Provide assistance to promote services of the unit
  • Provide support to ad hoc projects and assignments

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma from disciplines such as Chemistry, Chemical engineering, textile and materials science or equivalent with 2 years or more relevant experience
  • Experience in laboratory operation and chemical analysis
  • Strong commitment to task outcome, self-initiated and good analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Applicants may be considered for other positions if not matching the requirements of the subject position
