Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead desktop research to facilitate business needs

- Direct the team to deliver in-depth original and analytical desktop research by translating management’s needs into research propositions and formulating findings into solutions/implications/recommendations to facilitate management in business planning, strategy development and tourism performance review

- Assist senior members to formulate three-year market environmental outlook, derive forward-looking implications on risks and opportunities in terms of consumer and industry trends, competitive analyses and socio-economic drivers in order to provide the platform for the HKTB to develop its annual marketing strategies at global and country levels

  • Manage the Tourism Resource Center

- Develop and manage the Tourism Resource Center to provide centralized information, photo and video assets readily for use by internal users  and the public in an efficient and effective manner for the retrieval of assets

- Direct the team to implement rights management and formulate corporate-wide policies to foster copyright compliance in order to protect the intellectual assets of the HKTB

  • Act as a document controller

- Review and evaluate monthly reports submitted by head office departments and worldwide offices so as to compile summary report to assist management to keep track of the progress and being alert of key issues

- Assist to prepare proper documentation and actions-to-take for internal business planning meetings and other committee meetings

Requirements

  • Degree holder preferably in Library, Information Science, Information Management, Communications, Journalism, Translation, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 8 years of experience, preferably in library services, resource centres, or a corporate library with strong analytical culture.
  • Leadership skills to drive the team to deliver analytical desktop research. Ability to translate findings into solutions/recommendations for business planning and strategizing.
  • Knowledge of market trends, business intelligence and competitive analysis.
  • Knowledge in information management including management of photo and video resources and in managing and developing databases. Sound judgment in quality photos and videos.
  • Strong Desktop research skills.
  • Excellent business writing skills and diplomacy with ability in composing corporate business plans and Board committee minutes.
  • Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and detail-minded
  • Strong PC skills, especially in MS, PowerPoint and Word
  • Good command of both spoken and written Cantonese and English
