Position Type: Full time
Remuneration: Competitive. Flexible based on experience
Location: On site in Hong Kong, Gold Coast area. Some remote work flexibility.
Attributes we're looking for:
- At least eight years software engineering experience
- Deep JavaScript experience and skills are essential
- Demonstrable track record guiding architectural decisions at each layer of the stack
- Ability to communicate well and lead a team (including offshore programmers)
- Passion, positivity and empathy (building our team culture not taxing it)
- Proficient in agile methods (test driven, iterative, SCRUM)
- Experience with Ruby/Rails is advantageous
- Experience with other elements in our stack is advantageous
- Genuinely motivated by our vision and enthused by our values

Crossroads Foundation (“Crossroads”) was established in 1995 to act as an intermediary between donors of quality surplus goods and those who need them. In 2015-16, in-kind donations worth HK$62.5m were channelled through Crossroads to beneficiaries in Hong Kong and in some of the 40 other countries we serve around the world. As a result, over 300t of unwanted items were diverted from landfill. Typical donations include office and home furniture, IT hardware and electrical appliances, as well as very high value items such as medical equipment.
In addition to our in-kind donation operations, Crossroads runs world-class simulation experiences that help more than 20,000 participants annually engage with important global issues such as poverty, war, disability and medial need. Crossroads also operates fair trade social enterprises and provides corporate engagement consulting and facilitation services to companies, non-profits and IGOs globally.
